fall (nearly three and a year and a half)...

oh you two.  with the togetherness…and the divergent ways...
we've had a busy month filled with lots of outside time and pumpkins...
trampoline play...
wagon rides...
fire safety...
and parties with friends...
jasper, this month has been so awesome.  you are learning so many words and communicating really well.  your favorite phrases are "i did it" and "niiiiice" which are pretty cute.

you love your food...
blocks and duplos...
figuring out how to climb up the ladder (it took you one time to get it right!)...
tractor play...
bike time with the helmet almost on correctly...
ocean time...
and bundling up to go outside...
maeve, this month has been about independence, pre-school, and so much outside time.  you love seeing the martelle boys, especially samuel...
the dinosaur tree is still a big hit...
you and deedee went and got pumpkins...
i captured this of you mid-jump off of this stump on the beach...
and then this one. which i think is my favorite picture of you ever.
you got to hold baby drew a few times, which was a real highlight for you.  you love babies.
and you sleep in a big girl bed now.  you've been doing so well...
last weekend we had a party for you and your friends who are either just 3 or turning three in the coming days/weeks.  we had a paint party and this is the huge drop cloth that you awesome artist painted...
lots of driveway riding time this month...
and you were brave enough to go on two rides at the fair.  you hated it.  you lasted less than 30 seconds, but i was so proud of you.  with a little space from it you said it was your favorite part of the fair…
and you are learning so much in school about people, letters, friendship.  here is a portrait you drew of dad...
oooh more time snuggling with baby drew...
we had a bunch of adventures this month.  like apple picking...
which was really fun for both of you...
a ride along the narrow gauge railway...
with a scenic stop halfway along...
maeve, you weren't too sure about it and wanted to get off, but we convinced you to sit with dad and take it all in...
only one video this month of someone jamming out at the neighborhood picking party...

i feel like we are so in it, with you two and your amazing energy and all that it takes to keep the trains on the track.  oh but when i can take a breath at the end of the night when we read and play games, and in the morning when you two are sleepy and snuggly…oh it is so good.  i breathe it in and it is so so good.  xoxo.
