two and a half, thirteen months, and thirty five years...

these two photos seem like the only way to kick off this month.  silliness. partial nudity. and eating…always eating.  and then there is this one that dad captured with all of us...
what is better than one baby dressed as a sailor?  TWO babies dressed as sailors...
jasper this month brought tons of mobility, but i still love to sneak you in the carrier when i can...
you've been playing a lot at becky's...
and riding the john deere just like your big sister...
you love bagels and cream cheese...
most days you look adorable and slightly concerned...
on the day you got your first haircut you looked adorable and definitely concerned...

this month brought your first ice cream from toots, which you devoured...
 some naked swinging...
 more bagels...
helping unpack our bulk order of wipes...
 playing in cardboard boxes...
never ever wanting to keep a hat on your head, but wearing a diaper on your head for 20 minutes and cackling like crazy...
 lots of food adventures...
looking like a big boy (overalls and little keds…too adorable)…
 casting a big shadow...
and getting involved in this trampolining business...
maeve, you trampoline multiple times a week.  you are working on seat drop, getting air, and jumping jacks while bouncing...

maeve, this month was filled with climbing the dinosaur tree on the west side trail...
 silly picnics...
 more painting...
 exploring nature with august...
 dropping rocks down the drain...
a special mama and maeve trip to the holy donut...
a sweet find at a yardsale...
helping dad wash the deck chairs (which you assisted with for nearly an hour)...
 visiting the martelle's chickens...
 hydrating...
more hydrating...

our first cone of the season at toots...
a visit from friends niki, ezra, and abby.  together we did our first boat ride of the season...
did a "boys on one side, girl on the other side"snack time...
explored the beach together (not shown mass melting down of all parties a mere 10 minutes later)...
doing artwork for the art sale.  dad was the first attendee and he bought it all...
may brought lily of the valley.  this is what learning to sniff looks like...
may was filled with slow and gentle pushes on the tree swing...
cream cheese and jelly...
short torsos and high waisted skirts...
grabbing dad's face in your hands, asking "what i doing?" and then telling him "i keeping you safe"….
 and some cuddling...
and this month i turned 35.  here we are doing some gardening on the day we all celebrated...

and of course a few videos from this month…

puddle time…

trampoline time...

running after school...

this month was filled with sunlight well past dinner and for me a sense of settling into the now.  i love this month.  our days were busy and non-stop from seven to seven, which is simultaneous draining and incredibly energizing.  you two sweet babies show me that my well is deep and my love for you is immense.  with so many visitors this month, i was able to see you through other people's eyes, too…to watch others love on you, to observe your sweet demeanors, and to see the joy that courses through your bodies...it's nothing i can take credit for, but is something that delights me to watch and see unfold! xoxo.

this weekend marks the six year birthday of this blog…which feels like something worthy of great celebration!  yay for me and yay for all of you who read along.  big love to you!
