eighteen months and one month...

i've been wanting to post this blog for days (weeks?), but we've been pretty busy.  and so here i am, ready to share the last month or so.  the photo above is one of my favorites and one of the only in focus photos of the two of you.  someone is on the move constantly!  below is a photo of you guys kissing through the mesh of the pack and play...
hanging out on the activity mat together...
and this one looks like jasper got kicked in the head, but i assure you he didn't...
here we are hanging out and playing before bed on mother's day...
here are a few pictures of you jasper.  you are growing big, strong, and have a heart that is so big and sweet...
freaking out due to blue and white stripes overload...
chilling on the couch before bed...
perfection...
maeve, the queen of expressions, has some competition...
see?
we're moving and grooving and doing our stretches...
we have a sweet evening routine...
my sleeper...
eat, sleep, eat, sleep...
the weather has been gorgeous, so we've been going to the beach most days.  look at those cheeks...
i wish i could know what you are thinking...
i just want to hold your little round face in my hands...
look at that double chin...
we've been on lots of outings, walks, and adventures...
your skin, your rolls, those eyes...
an al fresco nap...
i'm taking a self portrait course this year and this was my picture for the theme of hands.  holding on tight...
gah, i could eat you!
sometimes we wear items from sister maeve...even if they are pink...
and you've been rocking at tummy time...
and now for you miss maeve.  i'm in disbelief at how much you've changed in these last few weeks.  new words, new skills, a new speed, and new emotions.  i see parts of me and parts of dad in you...and yet, you are all your own, too.  ahh but you are your mother's daughter, loving to pick up stones at the beach...
here we are on mother's day.  look at you rocking dots and stripes...
we've also been to sandy point...
i just love you and hobbes each doing your thing...
two of my favorite things are the look on your face when you see me when picking you up from daycare and and going up to get you when you wake up.  oh sweet girl.
now when you wake up and we open the curtain you look out the window at our neighbor's house and say "mailbox" and "mailman"in your little voice...

dad has been giving you silly hairdos after your bath...
and you've been eating up a storm and drinking up a storm, too...
we've been juicing...
we've been playing HARD this last month.  on our new swing...
on our new indoor slide...
in the yard with our flowers...
future gardener?
and oh the trampolining! you're loving it...
running, bouncing, and giggling...
here's a quick video of you doing your thing!
we had a special visit from friends the other day.  these photos are from christina, who captured the sweet afternoon.  maeve, your hair already looks longer...you are changing by the moment.  here you are doing some puzzle play...
oh you two...
it takes three ladies to push jasper's stroller...
oh my girl, my darling girl...
sleepy guy...
sigh...
just the girls, youngest to oldest...
my sweets...this month has been magic and chaos.  diapers and constant cleaning up.  snuggles and so much love.  warm weather and walks.  i feel grateful to be a mom of two.  grateful for all that you've taught and continue to teach me, maeve...it's helped me to be more at ease this time around.  grateful that you have joined our family with such grace, jasper.  we adore you.  maeve, you look around to find where jasper is so many times in the day.  i picked you up from daycare the other day and you were so confused that jasper wasn't there, too.  were you worried i'd left him somewhere?  it's okay, i worry about this sometimes, too:) jasper is already such a big part of your life.  this is what i had always wanted...you to never remember a time without your little man.  and jasper, you've grown so much. you've rolled from your belly to your back and i know that a non-gassy smile is just days away. i'm giddy at the thought...i'll likely melt when it actually happens.

you two fill my days and my heart to the brim.  you make everything enough!
