at forty six weeks...

at forty six weeks you crawl.  it's adorable to watch you prop yourself up, start moving, and then army crawl your way across the room.  you are quick and your little knees are red as proof.  you wiggle all over and head right for all the danger items (plugs, cords, radiators, diaper pails, and hobbes).  this week feels like your most dramatic developmental change...and not just with the crawling but with mimicking, feeding yourself, trying to make us laugh, walking when we hold your hands, and more.  go maeve go!

and speaking of go, we took lots of walks this week.  it's getting dark by 6:30, so we bundle up and try to get hobbes out for a walk after work.  here you are looking adorable in your fleece snuggly...
and dad captured this one of your wiggly feet on a walk...
and you slept funny on your hair one night and had this big wave/curl...
at forty six weeks you played with some tupperware...
decided that you no longer like wearing hats...
played like a champion...
and my goodness you were so cute...

at daycare this week you took some long strolls with august...
and wilder, too...

and you watched august munch on his vegetables...
a little bit of a close-up.  yes, you are tied into the chair with an elaborate lacing of an apron.  i love it...
and here you are wearing some of august's gear.  his sweatshirt has been deemed too girly, so it's yours now.  looking good mrs. d...
and pictures of when you guys spent the day at our house...
i simply adore the line up of kiddos...hobbes included...
and i love this picture because of all the stripes, the way you two are captivated by wilder, and august on his little tippy toes...
on saturday, we met up with one of your buddies for some time at royal river park...
here you are just hanging out ready to be pushed...
on saturday evening we got together with friends to celebrate the washburn family and a special little someone coming home from the hospital.  you celebrated by bringing the balloons...
and by taking a ride on rody.  you were a little short, so only one of your legs could touch the floor at a time, but you loved bouncing up and down...
you spent the better part of sunday practicing feeding yourself, something you haven't been all that interested in up until now.  you are quite content to be fed...but something clicked over the weekend and you figured out how to get the snack into your mouth.  well, most of the time...
maeve d., woman on the move,  it's incredibly exciting to see you exploring the world in a new way...going after that which is of interest and figuring out how to get it, climb it, touch it, and/or eat it.  as you get wherever it is you are headed i hope your love, your light, and your goodness travel with you always.
