on saturday morning i was in the bookstore and thought i was seeing things. one of my absolute favorite books is operating instructions by anne lamott, which is a journal of her son's first year of life. it's a gem. as i glanced at the shelves this past weekend, i learned that she and her son have written a book about his first child. i'm already halfway through and i'm in love. this hardcover book buying rampage...is it going to stop or is this a new phase that i'll be in for a while?
oh and guess what arrived saturday afternoon from a friend on the west coast for o? danny the champion of the world by roald dahl, which his friend shared "i always thought that this was one of the best books about fatherhood ever written." we're going to read this one together out loud.
here is to great books! what are you currently reading?
